Today, I received an invitation in my USA Amazon account for Hazmat Enrollment. We had been unable to get approval for months, but now we finally got it. I believe one of the main reasons is this:

We started utilizing our FBA storage space more effectively by sending in high-selling products that sold quickly, and even slower-moving items were selling within a few weeks or a month (with only a few exceptions). This likely signaled to Amazon that we were making efficient use of their warehouse space, which may have prompted them to invite us to the Hazmat program.

In short, we don’t keep excessive inventory — we follow a Just-In-Time logistics approach. This keeps our stock lean, our sales velocity strong, and apparently, it catches Amazon’s attention for opportunities like Hazmat enrollment.
